Research on the Nonlinear Impact of R&D Investment on Regional Economic Growth

研发投入对区域经济增长具有重要影响。考虑到研发投入决策非线性特征和区域经济空间异质性,基于半参数空间滞后模型分析了研发投入对广东省4个区域经济增长的非线性影响,得出主要结论:①研发投入对于区域经济增长具有多种类型非线性影响;②国内消费需求成为区域经济增长的主要影响因素;③采用半参数空间滞后面板模型能更好拟合区域经济增长过程。根据研究结论提出建议:①基于区域经济特征制定差异化创新驱动发展政策,充分发挥创新驱动对区域经济增长的作用;②积极完善区域经济网络,增强区域经济增长从经济中心向经济腹地的扩散效应;③从城乡一体化和区域一体化两方面优化区域经济空间结构。

R&D investment has an important impact on regional economic growth.Considering the nonlinear characteristics of R&D investment decision-making and the spatial heterogeneity of regional economy,the nonlinear effects of R&D investment on the economic growth of four regions in Guangdong Province are analyzed based on the semi-parametric spatial lag model.The main conclusions are as follows:①R&D investment has various types of nonlinear effects on regional economic growth;②Domestic consumption demand has become the main influencing factor of regional economic growth;③The semi-parametric spatial panel lag model can better fit the regional economic growth process.The main suggestions are as follows:①We should formulate relevant policies of differentiated innovation driven development according to the characteristics of different regional economy which will give full play to the innovation driving force;②We should actively build regional economic network to enhance the diffusion effect from economic center to economic hinterland in the process of economic development;③We should optimize the spatial structure of regional economy from two aspects of urban-rural integration and regional integration.
