Research on Metaverse Technology Enabling News Production Under Compensatory Media Theory

数字化背景下,媒介化社会成为现实,人的中心位置愈发凸显。元宇宙技术的诞生是当前数字、网络和智能技术高度整合的结果,也是社会深度媒介化的必然趋势。以保罗·利文森的补偿性媒介理论为观照,可发现现有新闻产品在场景构建、具身感和用户交互等方面存在的问题。在数字孪生、虚拟原生和虚实融生的实践进路基础上,应沿媒介进化的人性化趋势,扩展新闻边界,升级感官体验,泛化生产主体,弥补现有新闻产品缺陷,从而推动新闻生产变革,助推传播范式转型,促成媒介价值重塑。

Under the background of digitalization,the media society becomes reality,and the central position of human becomes increasingly prominent.Metaverse technology is the result of the high integration of digital,network and intelligent technology,and also the inevitable trend of the deep mediatization of society.Based on Paul Levinson’s compensatory media theory,this paper finds out the existing problems in scene construction,embodiment and user interaction of existing news products.Through the practical approach of digital twin,virtual native and integration of virtuality and reality,and along the humanization trend of media evolution,the paper expands the boundaries of news,upgrades sensory experience,generalizes production subjects,and makes up for the defects of existing news products,so as to promote the reform of news production,boost the transformation of communication paradigm,and promote the reshaping of social concepts.
