摘要
Lithium metal has long been regarded as the "holy grail" of anode materials for high energy densitybatteries thanks to its ultra-high theoretical capacity and the lowest reduction potential.Carbon materialshave been widely used in lithium metal bateries due to their excellent conductivity,electrochemical stability,mechanical properties and light weight.To summarize the trend in this exciting feld and present the latestresults,this issue has collected 4original research articles and 8 comprehensivereviews focusing on theapplications of carbon materials to lithium metal batteries,including lithium-carbon composite anodes,MXene-modified carbon material forlithium anodes,and inhibition of lithium dendrite growth by carbonmaterials,covering the aspects of material design,preparation,characterization and theoretical calculations.These works highlight the important application prospects of carbon materials in lithium metal bateries.
