Objective:To observe the postoperative reaction and long-term effect of root canal preparation with nickel-titanium instruments in the treatment of chronic periapical periodontitis.Methods:68 patients with chronic periapical periodontitis admitted to our hospital from January 2022 to July 2022 were selected as the study subjects. They were divided into the control group and the observation group by random number table method, with 34 cases in each group. The root canal preparation treatment was performed with stainless steel instruments and nickel-titanium instruments respectively, and the postoperative reaction and long-term effect of the two groups were compared. Results:The root canal preparation time in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the root canal curvature was higher than that in the control group; The degree of postoperative pain and the total incidence of complications were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05),there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups in long-term efficacy(P>0.05).Conclusion:Ni-Ti instrument root canal preparation has a significant long-term effect in the treatment of chronic periapical periodontitis, and can significantly shorten the root canal preparation time, improve the root canal curvature, reduce postoperative pain, and reduce the risk of postoperative complications.
