An Analysis of the Flood Myth from the Perspective of Prototype Criticism

洪水神话是流传最为广泛的神话类型之一。从分析心理学的“集体无意识”及“原型”视角来看,在洪水神话中,大地代表“内于我”的自我意识,水则是“外于我”的存在。洪水神话文本可以被视为人类自我意识的产生、膨胀、受挫及调和的心理认知发展过程之原型投射,正是这种“集体无意识”,促使人们不断演述和体验着洪水神话。

The flood myth is one of the most widespread types of myths.From the perspective of“collective unconsciousness”and“archetype”of analytical psychology,in the flood myth,“earth”represents the self-consciousness which is closely related to human beings,while“water”is the existence outside of human beings.The text of the flood myth can be regarded as an archetypal projection of the psychological cognitive development process of the emergence,expansion,frustration and reconciliation of human self-consciousness,and it is the“collective unconsciousness”that motivates people to continuously narrate and experience the flood myth.
