In The social function of philosophy,Horkheimer,in view of the imprisonment by the traditional theory on Marxism and by fascist rule on the way of thinking,and strive to realize the critical function of philosophy by introducing reason into the real world and by gudinging human practice with comprehensive understanding.Horkheimer makes detailed analysis on philosophy,criticism,and“popular”things by following dialectical and historical logic,criticizes traditional theory and enlightenment reason,implements his transcendence,criticism and reflection on reality,and issues its unique voice of the times in terms of carring forward objective reason and pursueing human value.
