五四时期浪漫主义文学中的现代性表现

Modernity Expression in Romantic Literature in the May Fourth Period

五四是中国社会的启蒙时期,而西方浪漫主义又是启蒙思想家们最重要的思想武器之一,以倡导个性主义去改变中国人思想意识的浪漫主义在五四时期国家和民族的启蒙方面发挥了巨大作用。在特定历史背景下,五四浪漫主义的复杂性呈现出与西方浪漫主义完全不同的面貌,并导致最初追求审美独立和艺术至上论的审美现代性理想最终被中国现代性语境政治化,即“从文学革命到革命文学”的转向。西方浪漫主义在中国译介过程中出现的这种有意误读和变异,究其根本原因,还需要将西方浪漫主义和现代性关系,以及五四时期浪漫主义与现代性关系进行比较,并进一步在现代性语境角度来阐释。

The May Fourth period is viewed as the enlightenment period of Chinese society,and Western Romanticism is one of the most important ideological weapons for enlightenment thinkers.Therefore,the romanticism that advocates individualism to change the ideology of Chinese people has played a huge role in the enlightenment of the state and the nation during the May Fourth period.However,in a specifi c historical background,the complexity of the May Fourth romanticism presents a completely diff erent appearance from Western romanticism,and leads to the aesthetic ideal of aesthetic independence and art supremacy,which is fi nally politicized by the Chinese modernity context,that is,the turning“from the literary revolution to the revolutionary literature”.Western romanticism has experienced such intentional misunderstanding and variation in the process of Chinese translation.For the root cause,it is necessary to compare the relationship between Western romanticism and modernity,as well as the relationship between the May Fourth romanticism and modernity,and to explain it in the modernity context.
