西瓜新品种东方1号的选育

A New Watermelon F1 Hybrid—‘Dongfang No.1’

东方1号是以自交系DWP203为母本,以自交系DFC108为父本杂交选育而成的大果型西瓜一代杂种。中晚熟,全生育期100 d(天)左右,果实发育期35 d(天)左右;果实短椭圆形,果皮青绿色覆墨绿色不规则锯齿状条纹,厚1.2 cm左右;果肉桃红色,质脆多汁,纤维、残渣少,中心可溶性固形物含量11.1%左右,边部可溶性固形物含量6.9%左右;单果质量7 kg左右,每667 m^(2)产量8200 kg左右,中抗西瓜枯萎病,适宜山东、安徽、江苏、宁夏、甘肃等地露地种植。

‘Dongfang No.1’is a new large-fruit type watermelon F1 hybrid bred by crossing inbred line‘DWP203’as female parent and inbred line‘DFC108’as male parent.It is of mid-late maturity.Its whole growth period is about 100 days and the fruit development period is about 35 days.The fruit is of oval shape,and pericarp is dark green in color with irregular jagged stripes.The fruit pericarp is about 1.2 cm thickness.The flesh is pink in color with delicate,pulp fiber residue less.The central soluble solids content is about 11.1%,and edge soluble solids content is about 6.9%.The single fruit weight is about 7 kg.It can yield about 123 t·hm^(-2).This variety has medium resistance to watermelon fusarium wilt.It is suitable for open field cultivation in Shandong,Anhui,Jiangsu,Ningxia,Gansu regions.
