影视社会工作,不是影视和社会工作的简单相加,不是利用影视手段对社会工作实务过程进行的过程性记录,也不是利用影视手段对社会工作理念和方法的技术性呈现。其研究的问题,应该是社会工作理念和方法如何促进或制约影视手段的使用,以及影视手段的使用如何拓展社会工作的理念和方法。所以,影视社会工作是既掌握影音记录技能,又懂得社会工作理论,又熟悉社会工作实务的人从事的工作。此处把这种同时兼备以上能力和素养的的人称为影视社会工作者。影视社会工作者既可以把“影视”作为记录的手段,也可以把“影视”作为发现问题或者完成需求评估的方法,也可以把“影视”作为促成社会工作者和服务对象认识自身的过程。以上内容,是文章讨论的核心所在。
