摘要
近年来,随着我国综合国力显著增强,体育实力开始崭露头角,各类国际体育赛事也相继在中国开展。第七届世界军人运动会(武汉)作为中国首次承办的综合性国际军事体育赛事,其官网新闻翻译的工作质量至关重要。基于此,该文选取了军运会官网部分新闻双语报道,总结归纳出体育新闻普遍存在的两种翻译问题,即四字格翻译的得与失和信息不对称导致的文化缺省,并以纽马克交际翻译理论为指导,给出相应对策,即避免理解不当造成翻译错误及慎重思考原文取舍,以期探索交际翻译理论在提升体育新闻对外话语国际化水平方面的指导作用,为英语翻译工作做出贡献。
In recent years,our sports strength has been enhanced by holding various international sports events in China as our comprehensive national strength has been significantly enhanced.Considering that the 7th CISM Military World Games is the first comprehensive international military sports event hosted by China,the quality of news translation on its official website is very important.The paper analyses some selected bilingual news reports of the 7th CISM Military World Games on the official website,and summarizes two common translation problems in sports news,namely,the gain and loss of four-character translation and the cultural default caused by information asymmetry,and gives corresponding countermeasures,so as to explore the role of Communicative Translation Theory in developing the internationalization of sports news discourse and make contributions to English translation.
