摘要
Periostin是一种非结构性的细胞外基质蛋白,在组织损伤修复、组织再生、纤维化以及肿瘤发生发展中发挥重要作用。目前研究表明,Periostin是许多肿瘤微环境中促进肿瘤基质细胞活化、募集并调节免疫细胞功能、参与组织微环境重塑、促进肿瘤细胞生长和转移的关键因子。本文介绍了细胞外基质蛋白Periostin在肿瘤转移微环境、肿瘤干细胞微环境、血管周微环境、转移前微环境、肿瘤免疫微环境、纤维化微环境、骨髓微环境、侵袭前沿微环境等不同肿瘤微环境中的功能,指出Periostin是介导细胞与细胞外基质、细胞与细胞、细胞外基质蛋白与细胞外基质蛋白之间相互作用的重要肿瘤微环境因子。
Periostin is a non-structural extracellular matrix protein that plays an important role in tissue damage repair,tissue regeneration,fibrosis,and tumor development.Recent studies have demonstrated that periostin serves as a critical tumor microenvironmental factor in promoting the activation of stromal cells,recruiting immune cells and regulating their functions,remodeling tissue microenvironment,and facilitating tumor cell growth and metastasis.Here we summarize the functions of extracellular matrix protein periostin in various tumor microenvironments,such as tumor metastatic niche,cancer stem cell niche,perivascular niche,premetastatic niche,tumor immune microenvironment,fibrotic microenvironment,bone marrow microenvironment,and invasion front niche.We also highlight that periostin is crucial for tumor microenvironment by regulating the interactions between cells and extracellular matrix,between tumor cells and stromal cells,and between different extracellular matrix proteins.
