The Objective of the Neo-Confucianist Study of the Song Dynasty in Li Gou's Xujiang Scholastic Orthodoxy

李觏开创的旴江学统,表达了儒学重功利、讲经世的学术旨趣,体现出宋学精神的另一个重要面向。李觏的易学源于王弼以人事释易理,他坚持将王弼“全释人事”的人文精神贯彻到底,并以独特的“心一事殊”思想,将其义理易学与北宋经世实践的新政紧密结合起来。他的《周礼致太平论》等礼学著作,突出体现出强烈的经世致用追求,并且将宋学的外王之道归结为以礼为核心的政治制度的建设与完成。

Xujiang Scholastic Orthodoxy(江学统)inaugurated by Li Gou(李靓)expressed the Confucianist academic objective which emphasized material gains(重功利)and dealt with the practical administration of worldly affairs(讲经世),and embodied another important aspect of the spirit of the Neo-Confucianist Study of the Song Dynasty(宋学).Li Gou's Yiology(易学)was originated from Wang Bi's(王弱)interpretations with human affairs.Li Gou persisted in implementing the humanistic spirit of Wang Bi's comprehensive interpretation of human affairs.With his unique idea of"handling various affairs with the same mine"(心一事殊),he closely integrated the hexagram statements and principles(义理)of Yiology with the practical New Administration of worldly affairs in the Northern Song Dynasty.His Rites of the Zhou Dynasty Will Lead to Great Peace(《周礼致太平论》)and other works on ritual study(礼学)very obviously embodied a vigorous pursuit for the pragmatic administration of worldly affairs,leading the"way of outward kingliness"(外王之道)of the New-Confucianist study of the Song Dynasty to the construction and completion of governmental institutions centered around the rites.
