Martial Arts Can Be an Innovative Path for Body Language ofChinese Classical Dance: Interview with Lv Zimin and Hua Xiaoyi

在刚刚落下帷幕的第十三届中国舞蹈“荷花奖”古典舞评奖中,由吕梓民编导、华宵一表演的作品《觉》获得佳绩。在本次访谈中,编导吕梓民阐述了作品的创作动机、舞蹈语汇构成方式及环形烛台道具的设计理念。编导由对自己母亲的关照上升至对中国传统女性的关照;从中国传统文化及美学意象出发,展现出中国传统女人内在觉知、觉醒过程的哲思表达,并在舞武融合的语汇中探索中国古典舞语汇的发展新路径。演员华宵一则从表演者的角度阐述其在《觉》中克制、沉稳的身体表达,以及对舞蹈演员在二度创作中需融入自身生命经验的深入体悟。

In the 13th Chinese Dance Competition of“Lotus Award”,the dance work Awakening won the award of Chinese classical dance,which was choreographed by Lv Zimin and performed by Hua Xiaoyi.In this interview,the choreographer Lv Zimin elaborates on the motivation to create this work,the way to compose its dance language,and the prop design concept of the circular candlestick.The choreographer has transcended from caring for his own mother to being concerned with traditional Chinese women.In light of traditional Chinese culture and aesthetic imagery,this dance showcases the philosophical expression of the inner awareness and awakening process of traditional Chinese women and explores a new path for the expression of the Chinese classical dance through the integration of dance with martial arts.While the dancer Hua Xiaoyi explaines her restrained and composed body expression in the Awakening from the perspective of a performer,and shares her deep understanding of the need for dancers to incorporate their own life experiences into the re-creation for dance works.
