‘Xiang'thinking is characterized by'integration of subject and object','integral connection'and image Analogical reasoning'.It is a cognitive way to discover and summarize laws at the phenomenological level.As the core thinking mode of traditional Chinese culture and traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),'Xiang'thinking determines the development direction and characteristics of TCM,which is the root of TCM culture and academic,and is the primary element of academic inheritance of TCM.Following the cognitive route of‘Xiang'thinking,summarizing the cognitive law of‘Xiang'thinking,grasping the characteristics and advantages,enlightening the theories and methods,and leading the independent innovation of TCM are the development path of'inheriting the essence and maintaining the positive innovation of TCM.
