全国理工类高校一流英语专业课程设置与教学调查研究

A Survey on the Curriculum Design and Teaching of First-class English Majors in Colleges and Universities of Science and Technology

摘要 该研究重点考察全国13所拥有省级以上一流英语专业建设单位的理工类高校,对1072位英语专业在读学生开展问卷调研,旨在了解一流专业建设过程中,理工类高校英语专业学生对于目前课程设置的满意度,以及对于课程教学的反馈意见。调研结果显示,学生对课程设置总体持积极评价,认为注重拓展英语语言文学知识是专业课程教学典型教学优点,在素质、知识、能力3个维度上,对教学总体效果普遍评价较高。但是,调研结果也显示一些不足,包括传统的教学模式、实践课程等,其中,结合新文科新工科建设拓展跨文化国际视野、夯实英语基本功、培养探究问题和解决问题能力等,是课程教学需要改进的主要方面。 Focusing on 13 universities of science and technology with first-class English major construction units at or above the provincial level,this research conducts a questionnaire survey on 1,072 English majors,with the purpose of investigating their satisfaction with the current curriculum and their feedback on curriculum teaching in the process of first-class major construction.The survey results show that students have adopted a generally positive evaluation of the curriculum,that the typical advantage of professional curriculum teaching is focusing on expanding knowledge of English language and literature,and that the overall effect of teaching is highly evaluated in the three dimensions of quality,knowledge and ability.However,the survey also reveals some weak points including the traditional teaching mode and the practical courses that need improvement.Furthermore,what needs to be improved mainly in course teaching is to expand cross-cultural and international vision with the combination of new liberal arts and new engineering,to consolidate basic English skills,and to cultivate problem-researching and problem-solving abilities.
