比对同传前记,《宋书·夷蛮传》大明后的蛮事写作风格和撰述特点与前记有明显不同。其中荆、雍州蛮史事的差异应归因于沈攸之。其经营荆州期间,有着治理荆州西部巫山—武陵山一系诸蛮的政绩,但因其宋末起兵反萧道成,故其功绩在正史中被隐去。豫州蛮史事记载的差异依托于诸蛮行为的改变,而诸蛮行为的改变根源于宋明帝以来南朝政权对其政策的改变。在之后的历史中,该地区的蛮与南朝政权的联系逐步加深。在宋齐易代过程中,该地区的蛮也有一定程度的政治参与,并在齐初因功袭爵。在上述政治变化的基础上,非暴力的对蛮政策也迎合了沈约的个人思想。多因素共同作用下,构成了豫州蛮叙事风格及内容的改变。

By comparing with the first book of the same biography,the writing style and writing characteristics of the barbarian events after the Ming Dynasty in Song Shu·Yi Man Biography are obviously different from the first book.The difference between Jing and Yongzhou barbarous historical events should be attributed to Shen Youzhi.During his operation in Jingzhou,he had made achievements in controlling the barbarians of Wushan Mountain-Wuling Mountain in the west of Jingzhou,but his achievements were hidden in the official history because of his rebellion against Xiao Daocheng in the late Song Dynasty.The difference of Yuzhou barbarians records depends on the change of barbarians'behavior,and the change of behavior is rooted in the change of barbarian policy of the Southern regime since the Song Ming Emperor.In later history,the region's barbarian ties with the Southern regime gradually deepened.In the process of changing dynasties in the Song and Qi Dynasties,the men in this area also participated in politics to a certain extent,and succeeded the nobles in the early Qi Dynasty due to their achievements.On the basis of the above political changes,the non-violent policy also catered to Shen Yue's personal thought.Under the joint action of many factors,the narrative style and content of Yuzhou Man are changed.
