最低工资标准对两岸贸易中的中国内地台资企业影响——以企业GVC地位指数为视角

The Impact of Minimum Wage Standard on Taiwan-capital Firms in the Mainland of China Participated in Cross-strait Trade:from the Perspective of Firm GVC Position Index

以加工贸易为主的两岸贸易受到企业成本尤其是劳动力成本的影响较大。为更好地研究最低工资标准对中国内地台企的影响,本文将宏观GVC地位指数拓展至微观企业层面,通过企业GVC地位指数的变化,研究对其生产要素选择及其价值链地位的影响。结果表明:最低工资标准上升通过成本效应减少参与两岸贸易企业的数量、通过要素替代效应增加实现中国内地台企价值链地位的提高。从影响路径看,最低工资标准上升会减轻要素价格扭曲度,以“腾笼换鸟”的方式实现中国内地台企价值链地位的提升。

Cross-strait Trade,mainly composed by Processing Trade,is more vulnerable to the shock of raising cost(especially the labor cost).Constant rise of the minimum wage in Chinese mainland will affect the choice whether the Taiwan-capital firms in the mainland of China(TFMCs)keep participating the Cross-strait Trade and their position in Value Chain decisively.To better illustrate the dynamic change of the TFMCs participate in Cross-Straits trade in the value chain,this paper expands GVC position index to the micro level,links the impact of minimum wage standards on cost of the TFMCs with the GVC position index,and examines the impact of the rise of minimum wage standards on the upgrading of value chains of TFMCs participating in cross strait trade.The outcome shows that that the rise of minimum wage standard will reduce the number of firms participating in the cross strait trade through the cost effect.Through the factor substitution effect,More mainland's factors are used during the productive process of TFMCs,and the position in value chains of TFMCs will rise correspondingly.From the perspective of mechanism,the minimum wage standard promotes the positive impact on the upgrading of value chains of firms in Chinese mainland by reducing the distortion of factors.Besides,the rise of other provinces'minimum wage will affect the agglomeration effect of the TFMC while showing no significant impact on TFMCs'GVC position index.
