Short tandem repeats(STRs)are widely used as the"gold standard"for forensic individual identification and paternity testing.This paper provides a brief overview of the development history,research status,and applications of forensic STR fluorescent multiplex amplification reagents,as well as their advantages and limitations in forensic science.The STR system has become very mature after years of research and practice,but it still has high research potential value and development space.
