This article mainly introduces a new method for collecting scrap data in the field of scrap management in steelmaking production in the metallurgical industry.By introducing innovative ideas,implementation plans,implementation processes,and key algorithms,a waste steel classification and measurement system and data collection method combining qualitative analysis and quantitative calculation were elaborated,ultimately achieving the accuracy of waste steel classification and measurement and the digitization of waste steel management.
