论曹禺未完成的多幕话剧《桥》

结合时代语境、创作缘起和戏剧情节来看,曹禺《桥》的创作意图和主题并非通常认为的表现“官僚资本家和民族资本家的斗争”,而是讴歌抗战时期的工业建设。《桥》取材于抗战时期后方的钢铁生产,是中国现代文学史上少见的正面表现现代化大工业生产的长篇叙事作品,并成功贡献了官僚资本家、工程技术人员两种新的人物形象类型,在结构布局、语言运用等方面也比较成熟。《桥》的未完成,是曹禺本人“很大很大的遗憾”,也是中国现当代文学的一个遗憾。

Combined with the background,the origin of creation and the plot of drama,the creative intention and theme of Cao Yu's Bridge is not the reflection of“the struggle between bureaucratic capitalists and national capitalists”as it is generally considered but eulogizing the industrial construction during the War of Resistance.Based on the steel production in the rear area during the period of the War of Resistance,Bridge is a long narrative work rarely seen in the history of modern Chinese literature,which positively represents the production of modernized large-scale industry.It has successfully created two new image types of bureaucratic capitalists and engineering technical personnel.It is also relatively mature in terms of the structural layout and the usage of language.The unfinished Bridge is a“great regret”of Cao Yu himself and a regret of Chinese Modern and Contemporary Literature.
