Objective:The effect of multi-disciplinary continuous nursing mode in improving sleep quality of elderly patients with diabetes and insomnia was explored in this paper. Methods:A total of 96 elderly patients with diabetes and insomnia in Donghai Hospital, the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January 2021 to July 2022 were selected as research objects, and were divided into control group and observation group according to random number table, with 48 cases in each group. The control group received general continuing care, while the observation group received multidisciplinary integrated continuing care. The Pittsburgh Sleep Index(PSQI),Self Regulated Fatigue Scale(SRF-S),diabetes Self Management Behavior Scale(SDSCA),Self Rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),Self Rating Depression Scale(SDS)and internationally accepted SPIEGEL score were compared between the two groups before and after the intervention. Results:After intervention, the PSQI scores of the two groups of patients were(11.39±0.78)and(13.15±0.85),respectively,with statistically significant differences(P<0.001).The SRF-S scores of the two groups of patients were(32.28±4.16)and(38.25±4.75),respectively,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.001).After intervention, the SAS scores of the two groups of patients were(48.28±6.24)and(56.39±7.07)respectively,while the SDS scores were(42.15±7.16)and(54.38±8.34),respectively.The observation group was lower than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After intervention, the SDSCA scores of the two groups of patients were(71.56±1.14)and(64.23±2.58),respectively.The observation group was higher than the control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).After the intervention, the SPIEGEL score items of the two groups of patients showed a significant decrease in sleep onset time,wake-up times, and sleep depth score compared to before the intervention. The observation group showed a more significant decrease, with a statistically significant difference(P<0.001).Conclusion:Multi-disciplinary integrated continuous nursing care can effectively improve the sleep quality of patients with diabetes, improve self-management ability, relieve symptoms of depression and anxiety with a higher application value.
