高校理工科青年教师国际期刊论文发表困境个案研究

A Case Study on the Dilemma of Publishing Papers in International Journals for Young College Teachers of Science and Engineering

本研究采用个案研究的方法,通过半结构化访谈和考察论文发表过程中产生的各类文本,深入探讨三位高校理工科青年教师国际期刊论文写作与发表的困难。研究发现,高校理工科青年教师的国际发表主要面临英语语言障碍、国际期刊写作范式的限制、软硬件支持力度不够、情绪和心理波动较大等四大困难。三位教师是高校青年教师群体的缩影,以上发现对高校青年教师、高校管理者、高校英语教师均有启示意义,只有多方共同努力,方可帮助高校青年教师走出发表困境。

This research adopts the method of case study and deeply explores the difficulties of three young college teachers of science and engineering in writing and publishing papers in international journals through semi-structured interviews and inspection of various texts generated during the process of paper publication.The study found that young college teachers are mainly faced with four difficulties:English language barriers,limitations of international journal writing paradigms,insufficient software and hardware support,and large emotional and psychological fluctuations.The three teachers are the epitome of the group of young teachers in Chinese colleges and universities.The above findings have implications for young college teachers,college administrators and college English teachers.Only the joint efforts of many parties can help young college teachers get out of the publishing dilemma.
