The Progress of the Chinese Political Culture Research and its Problems

在西方行为主义政治文化研究方法的影响下,中国政治文化研究在过去三十多年里取得了长足的进步,这一科学研究的进步也带来了自身的问题,主要体现在概念问题上。西方的行为主义政治文化研究限制了文化这一概念的丰富内涵,同时也轻视了文化研究的解释机制。要克服这一概念上的问题,就需要回到文化研究的轴心文明传统、回到文化研究的历史主义传统。这就需要挖掘中国传统文化中悠久的阐释学传统,要对这些阐释学传统进行创造性转化、创新性发展。未来政治文化研究的进步与发展,就在于把扎根于中国传统文化的阐释学研究方法与行为主义的实证检验完美结合在一起,形成中国特色、中国风格的政治文化理论。

Under the influence of Western behaviorist methods of political culture research,the study of Chinese political culture has made great progress in the past three decades.This scientific progress has also brought its own problems,mainly reflected in conceptual issues.Western behaviorist political culture studies limit the rich meaning of the concept of culture,and meanwhile underestimate the interpretative mechanism of cultural studies.To overcome this conceptual problem,it is necessary to return to the axial civilizational tradition of cultural studies and to the historical tradition of cultural studies.This requires excavating the long-standing hermeneutic traditions in Chinese traditional culture,and creatively transforming and innovatively developing these hermeneutic traditions.The future progress of political culture research lies in the seamless combination of hermeneutic research rooted in traditional Chinese culture and empirical testing of behaviorism to form a political culture theory with Chinese characteristics.
