Influenced and promoted by the new human-thing relationship and the crisis context in the 21st century,The material turn theory develops further,and its theoretical core has been on its way of evolution in western humanities and social sciences.The material turn in the new century,whose core is new materialism,foregrounds the material agency,and redefines the entangling and interacting relationships between human and things,through undermining the predominant binary anthropocentrism.The evolution of the theoretical core of the material turn theory has brought about the trending of returning to material agency from returning to objects in literary criticism,and furthermore makes a distinctively new non-anthropocentric path,consequently generating the frontiers of foreign literature in the past decade.
