本文选取朱光潜先生的《愁斯丹和绮瑟的故事》《英国佬的另一个岛》中的若干段落,分析朱先生译文的特点,采用的技巧,探讨其成功、失误之处。最后,结合朱先生自己的论述,归纳朱先生的翻译原则:译文要尽可能信和顺,并可以有适度的欧化。

This is a discussion on the translations of Le Roman de Tristan et Iseut and John Bull's Other Island by Zhu Guangqian,in which parts of the two works are selected and examined.What characterizes Zhu's translation,and what techniques Zhu employed,and where Zhu succeeded and failed are pointed out.In the end,there is a summary of the principles followed in his translation,on the basis of Zhu's own explications:a translation must be as faithful and fluent as possible,and some European style of wording is permissible.
