Shangdang Pile Brocade,commonly known as Changzhi Pile Brocade,is a unique folk regional handicraft in Changzhi city in Shanxi Province.In today's digital era with advanced science and technology and rapid product innovation,Shangdang Pile Brocade,as a national intangible cultural heritage,is also facing transformation and innovation,and must keep up with the trend of The Times.This paper analyzes and studies the development process of Pile Brocade over the years,and explores the future development path of Shangdang Pile Brocade handicrafts from the aspects of materials,tools,methods,aesthetic features,themes and application innovation in product design.
