Embarking a New Journey of Quality Development in High Education

南京理工大学作为双一流建设高校,是新中国高等学校的典型代表和高等教育发展的缩影。当前,我国高等教育事业进入全面推进高质量发展阶段。南京理工大学70周年办学实践表明,高质量发展是顺应历史和社会发展的必然选择,也是学校在推进现代化进程中的主动选择,学校具备了高质量发展的信心与基础条件。作为一种新的发展范式,高等学校在开启高质量发展的新征程中,还需要在发展理念、发展定位、发展模式和发展内涵等方面,着力处理好几对关系。

China’s higher education has entered into a new,comprehensive and high-quality advancement phase.As a“Double Top-class”university,Nanjing University of Science and Technology(NJUST)functions as a typical university example in China and a microcosm of its higher education development.Up to now,NJUST’s seventy years of education practice reveals that a high-quality development is an inevitable choice in conformance to historical and social changes.It is also NJUST’s active choice in its modernization advancement,as NJUST possesses adequate confidence and fundamental conditions for high-quality development.Adopting this new development mode,higher educational institutions now embark on a new quality development journey.It is also necessary to well handle several relationships in terms of development principles,positioning,modes and intensions.
