Will Population Aging Curb Green Economic Growth?

在人口老龄化不断加深的背景下,研究人口老龄化对绿色经济增长的影响具有更重要的现实意义。使用面板数据实证检验了人口老龄化对绿色经济增长影响。研究发现,人口老龄化促进了绿色经济增长。绿色技术创新与资本替代成为人口老龄化促进绿色经济增长的主要路径。异质性分析表明,绿色经济增长随着人口老龄化程度加深而呈现边际递减趋势。中高收入地区比低收入地区的人口老龄化促进绿色经济增长效果更加明显。提出了利用好人口老龄化对绿色经济增长的诱发机制,做大做强银发经济、加快绿色技术创新、推进资本替代战略的政策建议。

In the context of deepening population aging,it is of greater practical importance to study the impact of population aging on green economic growth.This paper uses panel data to empirically test the impact of population aging on green economic growth.The study finds that population aging promotes green economic growth.Green technology innovation and capital substitution become the main paths of population aging to promote green economic growth.Heterogeneity analysis shows that the growth of green economy presents a marginal decreasing trend with the deepening of population aging.The effect of population aging on promoting green economic growth in middle and high income regions is more obvious than that in low-income regions.In this regard,this paper puts forward policy suggestions to make good use of the inducement mechanism of population aging on the growth of green economy,to expand and strengthen the silver economy,to accelerate the innovation of green technology,and to promote the strategy of capital substitution.
