湖北荆州市郢城遗址2018~2019年发掘简报

Brief Report on the 2018-2019 Excavation of the Ying City Site in Jingzhou City,Hubei

2016~2017年,荆州博物馆对郢城遗址进行了较为全面的考古调查、勘探工作。2018年,对郢城遗址城垣西北角台基、东城门及护城河区域展开考古发掘工作。其中西北角台基所处城垣叠压在东周晚期文化层之上,通过发掘可知该处城垣夯土堆积结构、西北角城垣与护城河之间的距离、城垣建设的相对年代等情况。东城门区域发掘的遗迹包括新石器时代瓮棺、城门及附属建筑的柱洞、陶制排水管、垮塌堆积、唐宋明清时期道路、宋代墓葬等。护城河区域发掘的遗迹主要为一处秦汉时期木构桥梁和一个灰坑。通过发掘可知郢城东城门的构造、该段护城河的宽度、地层堆积及与城垣的关系。出土遗物以陶制建筑材料板瓦、筒瓦为主,生活用器极少。此次发掘,对于郢城遗址的研究和保护具有重要意义。

From 2016 to 2017,Jingzhou Museum conducted relatively comprehensive archaeological surveys and coring at the Ying city site.In 2018,archaeological excavations were carried out in the northwest corner platform foundation of the city wall,the east gate,and the moat area of the Ying city site.Among them,the city wall in the northwest corner platform foundation overlapped the cultural layer of the late Eastern Zhou period.Through excavation,the depositional structure of rammed earth of the city wall,and the distance between the northwest corner city wall and the moat,as well as the relative date of the city wall construction were all known.The remains revealed in the east gate area included Neolithic urns,city gate and post holes of ancillary buildings,ceramic drainage pipes,collapse deposits,roads from the Tang,Song to Ming and Qing dynasties,and Song Dynasty tombs.The remains uncovered in the moat area mainly included a Qin and Han period wooden bridge and a midden pit.Through excavation,the structure of the east gate of Ying city site,the width of the moat in that section,the stratigraphic accumulation,and its relationship with the city wall were identified.Unearthed artifacts were mainly pottery building materials such as plate and tubular tiles,besides very few daily utensils.The excavation is of great significance for the study and conservation of the Ying city site.
