基于元话语能力培养的医学英语写作多模态教学研究

摘要 元话语的恰当与否与学术英语写作质量的高低直接相关。为了提高学生在医学英语写作中的元话语意识,尤其是运用互动交流元话语积极构建作者与读者互动关系的意识,对学生的元话语认知现状进行了问卷调查,调查结果表明学生并没有建立在学术写作中运用元话语的意识,为此构建了基于元话语能力培养的医学英语写作多模态教学模式,经过1个学期的教学实验,学生基本熟悉了元话语类型以及用法,元话语的熟练运用使学生的写作文本起承转合更加自然和连贯,作者观点更加明确,与读者互动更加积极。 The quality of academic English writing depends on the proper use of metadiscourse.Therefore,a questionnaire survey about students′cognition in this regard was conducted in order to improve their relevant awareness in medical English writing,especially that of employing interactive metadiscourse to consciously build the interaction between the author and the reader.The result showed that students lacked the awareness of using metadiscourse in their writing,so a multimodal teaching system for medical English writing was constructed to cultivate students′related capability.After one semester′s teaching experiment,students got familiar with different types of metadiscourse and their usage.The application of such discourse added coherence to students′writing,clarity to their viewpoints,and active interaction to the author⁃reader relationship.
