Objective To explore the effect of forward intensity modulated radiotherapy and three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy on the prognosis of patients with cervical cancer(CC).Methods A total of 82 patients with CC admitted to Zouping People’s Hospital from August 2019 to August 2020 were selected as the research objects.According to different treatment methods, they were divided into group A(n=41,forward intensity modulated radiotherapy)and group B(n=41,three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy). The target volu me dose related indicators, exposure of organs at risk, treatment effect and prognosis were compared between the two groups. Results The average dose and conformity index of group A were higher than those of group B(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in homogeneity index between the two groups(P>0.05).The exposure range of bladder, small intestine, rectum, left femoral head and right femoral head in group A was smaller than that in group B(P<0.05).There were no significant differences in the total effective rate and the rates of metastasis, recurrence, and death between the two groups(P>0.05).Conclusion Forward intensity modulated radiotherapy and three-dimensional conformal radiotherapy have good clinical effects in the treatment of CC,and forward intensity modulated radiotherapy has more advantages in controlling the dose distribution in the target volume and reducing the exp osure range of organs at risk.
