Tunnel Boring Machine“Beishan-1”Finished Excavation of the First Turn of the Spiral Ramp of Beishan Underground Research Laboratory

全球首台大坡度螺旋隧道硬岩掘进机“北山1号”,作为核心关键设备服务于北山地下实验室螺旋斜坡道工程建设。简要介绍了“北山1号”研制历程以及成功通过螺旋斜坡道首个转弯段的情况。“北山1号”TBM胜利通过首个转弯段,既标志着该核心关键设备通过调试考验,又初步验证了连续极硬岩、小半径转弯、大坡度下坡、反坡排水、围岩低扰动解决方案的可靠性,为建设世界一流地下实验室奠定了关键的开掘技术保障。

TBM“Beishan-1”,the first-ever TBM that is capable of operating in steep slope and with small turning radius,is the key equipment for excavation of the spiral ramp of Beishan underground research laboratory(URL).This paper briefly introduced the development of TBM“Beishan-1”and the recent in-situ progress that“Beishan-1”had successfully finished the first turn excavation.The progress marked that TBM“Beishan-1”had passed the performance test,and preliminarily verified the solutions proposed for long-distance hard rock,successive small-radius turns,large slope,upwards drainage,and requirement on small disturbance to surrounding rockmass,which provided the firm foundation for high-class URL construction.
