The contemporary media represented by short video platforms have presented the characteristics of the times of visualization,mobility,digitization,popularization and hierarchy.At present,our country is actively laying out the deep integration and development of various media,among which the integrated development of mainstream media and short video platforms has both practical necessity and many challenges:the complexity of information sources will affect the authority of official information;the pursuit of verticality of video content will destroy the diversity of information;the fragmentation of information dissemination will dissolve the integrity of mainstream values;the excessive entertainment will destroy the seriousness of public issues.General Secretary Xi Jinping's idea that the Party's propaganda and ideological work should adhere to the"unity of Party spirit and people's spirit"has strong guiding significance for the integration and development of mainstream media and short video platforms,and is also the basic principle for the integration and development of the two.
