推进中国式现代化必须充分发挥文化的功能和作用。文化是国家和民族之魂,也是国家治理之魂,文化自信自强为中国式现代化培根铸魂,这源于中华文化博大精深、传承创新、开放包容的特质。推进文化自信自强,坚持共同的理想信念、价值理念、道德观念,发展社会主义先进文化,广泛凝聚人民精神力量,筑牢中国精神、中国价值、中国力量的根基,为中国式现代化提供深厚支撑。在实践当中,推进文化自信自强的路径包括:牢牢把握社会主义先进文化前进方向;继承发展创新优秀传统文化,展示中华文化独特魅力;促进对外文化交流,实施文化“走出去、引进来”战略;繁荣文艺创作,推动文化产业发展;加强高校思政教育,培养文化自信人才。

To promote Chinese modernization,we must give full play to the function and role of culture.Culture is the soul of a country and nation,as well as the soul of national governance,and cultural confidence and strength nourish the roots and forge the soul for Chinese modernization,which stems from the characteristics of Chinese culture that is broad and profound,successive and innovative,open and inclusive.Building cultural confidence and strength,adhering to common ideals and beliefs,values and moral concepts,developing advanced socialist culture,extensively rallying the spiritual strength of the people,and firming up the Chinese spirit,Chinese values and Chinese strength,provide profound support for Chinese modernization.In practice,cultural confidence and strength should be built through the following ways:firmly grasping the direction of advanced socialist culture;inheriting,developing and innovating fine traditional culture,and displaying the unique charm of Chinese culture;promoting cultural exchanges with foreign countries and implementing the cultural strategy of“going global and bringing in”;developing art and literature and promoting the development of cultural industries;strengthening ideological and political education in colleges and universities,and cultivating culturally confident talents.
