摘要
美国儿童文学作家斯·奥台尔的《黑珍珠》是一本青少年伦理道德成长小说。全书“采珍珠”,“偷珍珠”,“还珍珠”三条伦理主线分别是拉蒙面临“知识”“未知的人生”和“人的价值”时做的三次伦理选择。经过亲自“采珍珠”,拉蒙摒弃传说和迷信,通过实践获得知识。“偷珍珠”事件证明处于伦理发展和形成关键期的青少年在面对“未知的人生”做伦理选择时的反复或倒退。“还珍珠”让拉蒙认识到利益面前要摒弃个人私利,把实现人的社会价值放在首位,做出利于社会群体利益和符合社会道德规范的伦理选择,从而形成正确的伦理价值观并实现道德成长。
From the perspective of Ethical Literary Criticism,Scott O'Dell's novel,The Black Pearl,is actually a story about the formation of teenagers'ethical and moral growth.Three ethical lines——pearl picking,pearl stealing and pearl returning——are respectively three ethical selections by Ramon about knowledge,the unknown life and people's social values.By pearl picking,Ramon believes legends and superstitions should be abandoned,and knowledge should be acquired through practical actions.Pearl stealing proves that there are reverse and retrogression during the course of ethical selections made by teenagers in the critical period of ethical development and formation when facing“unknown life”.Pearl returning makes Ramon realize that he should abandon personal interests,put the realization of human social value in the first place,and make ethical choices that are conducive to the interests of the whole social and corresponding to the standards of social ethics so as to form correct ethical values and realize moral growth.
