Lv Lijiang’s Experience in Treatment of Chronic Lumbar Muscle Strain from the Governor Vessel

慢性腰肌劳损为临床常见病,以腰痛为主要症状。“腰为肾之府”,因此医者多从肾论治本病,但在临床实践中发现一味治肾不能达到理想效果。吕立江教授从中医督脉理论出发,分析慢性腰肌劳损的病因机理,创新性提出“从督论治,通督强脊”的学术思想,强调审证求因,明确病机,基于督脉,从督论治,通督强脊,综合协治,随证治之,从而恢复腰部功能,缓解疼痛,收到显著疗效,达到治疗目的。文章总结吕立江教授治疗慢性腰肌劳损的学术思想和临证经验,并附验案一则,以为佐证。

Chronic lumbar muscle strain is a common clinical disease with lower back pain being its primary symptom.In traditional Chinese medicine(TCM),the lumbar region is considered the"residence of the kidneys”.Consequently,doctors often focus on kidney-related treatment for this disease.However,in clinical practice,it has been observed that solely treating the kidneys does not yield desired results.Professor Lv Lijiang,starting from the theory of the Governor vessel in TCM,analyzed the etiology and pathogenesis of chronic lumbar muscle strain.He has innovatively proposed the academic concept of“treating from the Governor vessel and regulating the Governor vessel to strengthen the spine”.This approach emphasizes the examination of syndromes and root causes,identification of pathogenesis,treatment from Governor vessel,dredging Governor vessel to strengthen the spine,and treatment based on syndromes to restore lumbar function,alleviate pain,and achieve significant therapeutic effects.The article summarized Professor Lv Lijiang's academic thoughts and clinical experience in treating chronic lumbar muscle strain,supplemented by a case study for further illustration.
