非营利机构在美国城市更新中的作用——以“种树倡议”为例

The Role of Non-profit Organization Played in Urban Renewal in the United States-Taking the“Tree Planting Initiative”as an Example

美国城市更新项目注重激活老旧城区、吸引人口回流、破解环境正义问题,由非营利机构牵头的“种树倡议”是美国城市更新项目的一个亮点。非营利机构由于其技术专业性强、策划可行性强、资金募集能力强等特点,可弥补政府在城市更新项目实施过程中的短板,使得“种树倡议”在全美国的普及程度大幅提升,同时提升社区的居住环境与活力。文章详细介绍美国3个城市各具特色的树木种植类非营利机构,分析其对当地城市更新工作的影响,以期为我国城市更新行动提供借鉴。

American urban renewal projects focus on revitalizing old urban areas,attracting return of population and solving issues of environmental justice.The“Tree Planting Initiative”led by non-profit organization is a highlight spot in American urban renewal projects.Owing to their skilled technical expertise,high planning feasibility,and strong fund-raising capabilities,non-profit organization have made up the government’s shortcomings in implementation of urban renewal projects,significantly increased the popularity of the“Tree Planting Initiative”across the United States,while it also improved the living environment and vitality of neighborhoods.This paper introduces tree planting non-profit organization with respective characteristics in three American cities,analyzes their influence on local urban renewal work with the hope of using for reference in China’s urban renewal actions.
