According to Clarksons'latest monthly statistics,China has overtaken Greece to become the world's largest shipowner in terms of total tonnage of the fleet in operation.The last time the industry witnessed a change in the number one shipowner country was in December 2013,when Greek shipowners overtook Japanese shipowners to regain their position as the world's number one shipowner.Now ten years later,a lot has changed in the international shipping market.As far as the shipowner market is concerned,the fleet size of Germany,once the second largest shipowner country in Europe,is declining year by year.
