Based on fi ve typical patent administrative judicial cases in the field of electricity,this paper summarizes the characteristics of the patents in the field of electricity,that are,close to daily life,developing rapidly,intersecting and evolving in technology,high trial and error costs,and what you see is what you get.With the enlightenment of these characteristics,this paper discusses the characteristics in assessing technical motivation in inventive step in the field of electricity,and gives some suggestions on the technical motivation assessing for the patent examiners as well as on the writing of application documents and replying to Office Actions for the attorneys.
