The growth of a city cannot be separated from the specific context or environment,isimpossibletogetrid of the specific social backgrounds and cultural contexts,and will certainly leave a mark that is influenced by the regional culture and social environment.As a design institution with a history of nearly one hundred years,Chongqing Architectural Design Institute has played an important role and exerted important influences on the construction of Chongqing City,which it rooted and served for a long time.Based on the development process and design practice of Chongqing Architectural Design Institute in the urban construction of Chongqing,this paper discusses the evolution of ideology and academic vision and its influence on the urban and architectural development of Chongqing.
