牙行的形成演进经历了一段十分漫长的时期。明清时期,随着经济繁荣、商品市场快速发展,牙行逐渐进入政府视野,被赋予公法职能,成为政府进行商业社会管理的一种手段和途径。牙行的发展演变体现出了交易制度由散漫到管制的变迁历程,特别是近代,牙行在市场规制、职能变迁、社会作用等方面都出现了新变化。通过牙行与近代交易制度建构的相关问题研究和探讨,能够更好地把握近代交易制度的变迁,对研究现代中介组织发展以及市场交易制度的建构都具有重要的借鉴意义。

The formation and evolution of broker-houses has gone through a very long period of time.During the Ming and Qing dynasties,with the economic prosperity and the rapid development of commodity market,broker-houses gradually caught the government’s attention,endowed with the function of public law,and became a means and way for the government to manage the commercial society.The development and evolution of broker-houses re⁃flects the change of trading system from disorganization to regulation.Especially in modern times,broker-houses had new changes in market regulation,functional change,social role and so on.Through the research and discussion of the problems related to the construction of broker-houses and modern trading system,we can better understand the changes of modern trading system,which has important reference significance for the research on the develop⁃ment of modern intermediary organizations and the construction of market trading system.
