Jiang Yin is known for his research on Chinese poetics.Throughout his writings in the past thirty years,his main contributions are reflected in his interpretation and theoretical criticism of propositions about ancient poetics,and the scope of his study has crossed from the Middle Ages to the recent ancient literature.The book The Road of Chinese Poetics:Between History,Culture and Aesthetics collects Jiang Yin's poetic research achievements of the past thirty years,and clearly presents his poetic trajectory,as well as his academic tendency that crosses from the study of writers'works to the study of the history of literati's mentality,and from the examination of literature to the summarization and construction of theories.The path of his interpretation often implies the examination of history,culture and aesthetics from three perspectives,which represents the three changes in his understanding of academic thought.Therefore,the three changes in Jiang Yin's poetics emphasize the change of the three perspectives,but what remains unchanged is his consistent spirit of truth-seeking,academic freedom,and theory-building consciousness as a pure scholar.
