The Pragmatist Aesthetics Contained in the Design of the Neolithic Three-Legged Pottery in Hangjiahu Plain

运用类型学、设计学方法比较并分析三足陶器的功能、器型类别及足型设计特征,从实用美学的角度论证三足陶器中的尚用、尚简、尚美的精神,以期窥见新石器时代三足陶器的美学价值以及对后世造物设计的影响。

In this paper,the functions,types and design features of the Neolithic three-legged pottery are com⁃pared and analyzed from the perspectives of typology and design,and the preference for utility,simplicity and beauty contained in such pottery from the perspective of pragmatist aesthetics are demonstrated,in order to get a glimpse of the aesthetic values of the Neolithic three-legged pottery and its influence on the design of later utensils.
