摘要
学术英语论文写作是研究生学术训练的重要环节。然而,我国研究生面临着正确使用元话语的挑战。借鉴海兰德元话语模型,以研一学生为研究对象,运用文本分析法对其学术英语论文写作中使用元话语的情况进行调查,经分析得出以下结论:(1)元话语分布程度较低;(2)元话语出现频率最高的三种类型是过渡标记、框架标记和模糊语;(3)元话语使用频率与学术英语论文写作质量呈正相关。在此基础上提出提高研究生学术英语写作能力的元话语优化策略。
Academic English thesis writing is an important part of academic training for postgraduates.However,Chinese postgraduates are faced with the challenge of using meta-discourses correctly in academic English thesis writing.Borrowing the meta-discourse model constructed by Hyland,take first-year postgraduates of a certain university as the research objects and investigate and analyze their use of meta-discourse in academic English thesis writing by using text analysis.The results show that:(1)The distribution of meta-discourses is rather low;(2)The three types of meta-discourses with the highest frequency are transition markers,frame markers and vague language;(3)There is a positive correlation between the frequency of meta-discourses and the writing quality of academic English thesis.Based on the results,put forward a meta-discourse teaching strategies of improving postgraduates’academic English writing ability.
