Natural Person,Social Person and Awakened Person:An Interpretation of Ecological Thoughts in Lawrence's Novels

劳伦斯是20世纪最具影响力的作家之一,从生态批评视角来看他的小说,就能发现其超越时代的生态思想。结合生态中心主义、人类中心主义和自我实现等生态学理论,解读了劳伦斯小说塑造的“自然人”“社会人”和“觉醒者”形象,阐释了其中表达出的生态思想:工业文明切断了人与自然的天然纽带,导致人性发生异化,只有回归自然,才能重获新生,达到人与自然和谐相处的理想状态。

Lawrence is one of the famous writers of the 2oth century.The ecological ideas in his novels can be found through the perspective of ecological criticism.Three different images,namely"Natural person","Social person",and"Awakened Person",are interpreted through the ecological theories such as ecocentrism,anthropocentrism and self-realizationism.Lawrence showed his ecological ideas that there is universal vitality which can form an organic unity between humans and nature.Lawrence criticizes industrial civilization which caused the natural ecology crisis and alienation of human.It is proposed that the only way to redemption from the destructive impacts of industrialization is through the realization of returning to nature that humans can achieve the ideal state of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.
