山西沁水八里坪遗址环壕聚落

Settlement with moats in Baliping site, Qinshui County, Shanxi Province

2020-2023年,山西省考古研究院、山东大学文化遗产研究院、晋城市文物保护研究中心组成联合考古队,对“考古中国——中原地区文明化进程研究”项目依托的沁水八里坪遗址开展了连续的调查、勘探及发掘工作。通过钻探、清理断面、分段试掘,确定了遗址最兴盛期即规划了三重环壕、内壕沟内有一组大型夯土建筑基址。对壕沟的解剖,基本明确了其使用和废弃年代,确定了聚落形态演变过程。

From 2020 to 2023,a joint archaeological team from the Shanxi Archaeological Research Institute,the Institute of Cultural Heritage of Shandong University,and the Jincheng Cultural Relics Protection Research Centre conducted continuous survey,exploration and excavation work at the Baliping site in Qinshui,which is a site of the“Archaeology China—An Study of Civilization Process in the Central Plains”project.Through archaeological prospecting,sectional cleaning and excavating,it was confirmed that a triple rings of moats were planned during its most prosperous period and a group of large rammed earth buildings within the site.The anatomy of the moats has largely clarified the chronology of their use and abandonment,and identified the evolution of the settlement pattern.
