As the product of the transformation of the Asia Pacific strategic structure,the establishment of the ASEAN-UK dialogue relations will help enhance the political influence of the UK and ASEAN in the Asia Pacific region,deepen the economic cooperation between the UK and ASEAN,and help the UK and ASEAN achieve their own security interests.Under the framework of dialogue relations,the UK and ASEAN strive to carry out all-around mutually beneficial cooperation.The UK and ASEAN cooperation is characterized by reciprocity,wholeness,pluralism and historical continuity.The future development of the UK-ASEAN dialogue partnership will be constrained by multiple factors.In the short term,the cooperation between the UK and ASEAN under the existing framework will continue.In the long run,as the regional strategic environment changes,the structural contradictions between the UK and ASEAN will gradually emerge.
