Let Hermeneutics Speak Chinese

建构作为完备学科体系的中国阐释学,中国本土阐释实践与经验是立足点。让阐释学说汉语,就要以汉语的概念、范畴、命题、范式为核心和基础,从汉语本源字义入手,重新审视有关阐释学的基本概念和命题,发掘潜藏于汉字乃至汉语思维方式背后的阐释学意蕴。“阐”“诠”“解”“释”“理”“性”“通”“达”“衍”“生”等术语不仅具有阐释学方法论意义,而且是构建当代中国阐释学的关键环节。这些基本概念的意义之间具有鲜明的一致性,概念之间相互说明,相互支撑,互文互证。解是诠的基础,衍是阐的方式,阐衍由通而达,充满生命和意志诉求的理性覆盖阐之全部过程。当代阐释学的中国建构,不是简单地借用古代术语,也不是把西方阐释学当作纯粹的理论形态,而是结合时代精神和生活实践,恢复阐释学本身作为思想之源的根本追求,建构与时代精神相契合的新的阐释方式。“训诂阐释学”将训诂与义理有机融合,以系统完备的新学科形态,为学科交叉融合提供新示范,说汉语的阐释学也有一个新基点。

As a complete academic system,Chinese hermeneutics is based on Chinese indigenous hermeneutic practices and experiences.To let hermeneutics speak Chinese,it is essential to use Chinese concepts,categories,propositions,and paradigms as the core and foundation.Starting with the original meaning of Chinese characters,we need to re-examine the basic concepts and propositions related to hermeneutics,uncovering the interpretive implications hidden behind Chinese characters and even the Chinese way of thinking.Terms such as chan(阐),quan(诠exegesis),jie(解),shi(释),li(理),xing(性),tong(通),da(达),yan(衍),and sheng(生)not only have methodological significance in hermeneutics but are also key components in constructing contemporary Chinese hermeneutics.The meanings of these basic concepts are evidently consistent,explaining and supporting each other,and mutually validating.Jie(解)is the foundation of quan(诠);Yan(衍)is the way of how chan(阐)is carried out;chan(阐)and yan(衍)move from tong(通)to da(达),and rationality,which filled with life and volitional appeals,covers the entire process of chan(阐).The construction of contemporary Chinese hermeneutics does not simply borrow ancient terms,nor does it treat Western hermeneutics purely as a theoretical form.Instead,it combines the spirit of the times and practical living,reviving the fundamental pursuit of hermeneutics as a source of thought,constructing a new form of hermeneutics that aligns with the spirit of the age.‘Exegetic hermeneutics’integrates exegesis and the study of meaning and principle of texts,presenting itself as a comprehensive new academic discipline as well as providing a new model for interdisciplinary integration.It also provides the Chinese-speaking hermeneutics with a new foundation.
