On the surface,smart libraries may appear to be an integration of digitalization,networking,and intelligence technologies,but at a deeper level,smart libraries are actually a transformation of modern library management and service intelligence,and the beginning of a new stage in the development process of libraries in the 5G environment.The article discusses the origin and current research status of the concept of smart libraries,analyzes the core elements of building smart libraries,elaborates on the possible problems faced by the construction of smart libraries in universities,and proposes specific countermeasures for the construction of smart libraries in universities.
