依托语言学教学培养英语专业学生学术创新能力——以语用学教学为例

Cultivating Academic Innovative Competence of English Majors Based on Linguistics Instruction:With Special Reference to Pragmatics Teaching

学术创新能力是衡量高层次人才的重要标准。本文首先提出语言学范畴下学术创新能力的三个主要内涵,即发现新问题的能力、探索新角度的能力和使用新方法的能力,进而以语用学教学为例,具体探讨培养学生学术创新能力的教学实践。具体来说,这些教学实践包括:鼓励学生观察实际语言使用,发现新兴语言现象;辨析语用理论争鸣,探索创新研究视角;掌握语用学研究方法,尝试撰写和发表学术论文。

Academic innovative competence(AIC)is an essential constituent of high-level talents.This paper proposes three main instantiations of AIC within the scope of linguistics,and they are to discover a new research question,to explore a new research perspective,and to employ a new research method.In addition,taking pragmatics teaching as an example,the paper discusses how linguistics instruction would contribute to AIC education for English majors.To be specific,the concrete strategies include encouraging them to discover a novel emergent language phenomenon by observing language use,to explore an innovative research perspective through appreciating the theoretical debate in pragmatics,and to write a publishable paper after mastering a pragmatic research method.
